Threads of Kindness, a donation drive by Rotaract students, donated clothes to about 500 underprivileged roadside people. The "NextGen CV: AI-Driven Resume Building" workshop empowered participants to craft impactful resumes using artificial intelligence tools. The hands-on session equipped them with skills to stand out in today’s competitive job market through tech-enabled personalization.
The Rotary Club organized an exciting cricket tournament for students, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition. Session empowered students to network strategically and stand out in the digital world.
The most awaited sports event held at MGMIMSR was a resounding success, featuring thrilling competitions in tug of war, table tennis, and cricket. Enthusiastic participation and a spirited audience made the event truly memorable. In tug of war competition teams showcased strength, teamwork, and strategy. The table tennis segment witnessed some exceptional talent, with fastpaced rallies and impressive techniques. The cricket tournament was the highlight of the event, Vallabh Kulkarni was man of the match, clinched the title with an outstanding performance. The event concluded with announcement of the winners and participants were recognized for their efforts. The day fostered sportsmanship, camaraderie, and a love for sports among all attendees.
The management games event aimed to foster teamwork, creativity, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities among participants. Activities like the Ad Mad Show, Marshmallow Challenge, Jingles, Hoolallenge, and Treasure Hunt were designed to challenge participants in a fun, engaging, and collaborative environment. The blend of fun and learning created a memorable experience for all. Participants demonstrated improved teamwork, creativity, communication, and strategic thinking throughout the activities.

Every student eagerly awaits right from their time of admission for their most remarkable event of the college “FRESHER’S PARTY”. The 18th of October 2024 was a memorable day in the life of every fresher at MGM’s Institute of Management Studies and Research. The fresher’s day was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness.Fresher’s party is all about creating everlasting relationships with each other. The event is an indication of union among the students. Pulsating ambience, flashing lights and foot-tapping music, set the mood of the party right.
A Convocation Ceremony is a special day in the academic life of students as after years of hard work and dedication; they get their hard-earned education degrees. To celebrate the success of graduating students, Degree Distribution ceremony (Graduation Ceremony) was organized on 27th September, 2024 in the institute auditorium. The Ceremony started with garlanding of Maa Saraswathi by the Chief Guest. Garlanding was followed by Lighting of Lamp. After that National Anthem was played. Institute Director gave the formal welcome address speech in which she congratulated all the students for their academic excellence and successfully completing their post-graduation degree. The Convocation ended with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Amrita Thakkar followed by the group photographs with all the post graduate students.
The teacher’s day was celebrated by the students of MGM’s Institute of Management Studies and Research on 5th September to express their gratitude for the immense contribution put forth by their teachers towards their development. Students felicitated teachers by offering roses and handmade greeting cards. Various games were arranged by the students for teachers followed by dance and singing performances by the students.
MGMIMSR has organized Eco-friendly Ganpati idol making and decoration completion on 4th and 5th September 2024 to enhance the creativity of students, to inculcate traditional values in them and also to sensitize them towards the environment. Students artistic work was judged by director ma’am and winners were awarded.
Carrom and Chess tournament was organised in the institute for the students on 23rd August 2024 was an exemplary success with participation of around 30 pupils. The chess matches were played with great concentration and determination by each student employing unique strategies. Meanwhile, the carrom mixed doubles competition was played with great esprit de corps, with each team showcasing distinct playing styles, making the games entertaining.
MGMIMSR has celebrated 78th Independence Day on 15th August 2024 with grandeur and reverence. The event was a tribute to our shared values and commitment. It is a remarkable day when we honour and respect all our freedom fighters who fought for India’s freedom. The celebrations started with flag hoisting by the dignitaries, followed by the National Anthem.
MGMIMSR students celebrated traditional day on 10th April, 2024.Students were dressed in traditional attires and various performances were given by different students. The event was organized to help students hone their management skills and for their overall development. The event was a grand success everybody enjoyed a lot.
MGMIMSR students embarked on an industrial visit to Chandigarh’s Inter solar system facility on February 28th, 2024.They gained valuable insights into the manufacturing process of solar panels and solar water heaters.
MGMIMSR students on February 28th, 2024 visited Amartex which is renowned for their expertise in dyeing, textile weaving and pioneering retail ventures in North part of India. The visit provided valuable insights into Amartex’s retail operations and diverse product offerings.
The charter installation ceremony of the Rotaract club of MGM IMSR took place on February 4th, 2024 with Rotary club of Panvel Symphony in presence of MGMIMSR family. In collaboration with Rotaract club various events will be organized by the students to sharpen their management skills. It is global movement of young leaders in developing innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
MGMIMSR organized industrial visit to Kokuyo Camlin Ltd on January 23rd,2024 students learned about manufacturing of different products and requirements of the current market for company’s success. Students also learned about corporate culture and scenario of the global markets.
Katha Pratha workshop was organized for the students of MGMIMSR on 1st December, 2023 by Prof.Bharat Dash. It is an endeavor to breathe life into ancient tales, particularly from the Panchatantra, sharing age-old wisdom in a relatable and impactful manner. The objective was to make learning more joyful and long lasting.
Cyber security and awareness program were organized by MGMIMSR in association with Navi Mumbai Police, Cybercrime branch on 24th November 2023 to educate students about the risks associated with cybercrime and the measures that can be taken to prevent sensitive data and information.
MGMIMSR organized Tree plantation drive on 4th October 2023. All the students and staff participated very enthusiastically and planted the trees in the college premises.
MGMIMSR organized Blood Donation camp on 5th September 2023 in association with MGM Blood Bank/MGM Hospital Kamothe, Navi Mumbai.
The tree plantation dirve was conducted by all the Institutes of MGM under the flagship of MGM’s Trust & CUF Panvel, Navi Mumbai at Fanaswadi, Tal-Panvel on 5th August, 2023.
The Workshop on the 56th Youth Festival, was organized by the University of Mumbai Department of Students’ Development in collaboration with MGM’s Institute of Management Studies and Research which was held on 11th July 2023.

Rara Avis was founded in the year 2008; Since then it has worked its way into the hearts & minds of the students. Continuing with the tradition, and moving on, with the thought of going with the wind, this year Mahatma Gandhi Mission's Institute of Management Studies and Research organized RARA AVIS” on the 28th February to 3rd March 2020 with theme "Era of Artificial Intelligence".
This fest is a rich blend of culture and academics, a tussle of management strategies and decision making. It extends an opportunity to students to showcase their attitude and aptitude in a “Teamwork” spirit.
Students participate in these events to enhance skills like public speaking and inter personal skills which helps them in their future prospects. A blend of management and team play activities provides a true platform to the students to test their skills and competence.
